You Are Holding
It Together
And It’s Costing You

You’re the one who figures it out. The work gets done, the family keeps moving, and most people would say you’re doing fine. Meanwhile, you’re snapping at the person you love, replaying conversations at 2 a.m., or wondering how you can be this capable and this exhausted at the same time.

Maybe therapy sounds useful. Maybe it also sounds like another place where you’ll have to explain everything and hold it together. You can show up tired, skeptical, or unsure where to begin. We’ll listen, ask honest questions, and help you make sense of the patterns without rushing you past the hard parts.

And the People in It

Well SelfIndividual Therapy

You can handle a lot. That doesn’t mean you should have to carry it all. Individual therapy is for the anxiety behind the competence, the resentment underneath the caretaking, and the feeling that you’ve lost yourself somewhere along the way. We’ll help you understand what keeps happening, practice boundaries you can actually use, and make room for a life that asks less pretending of you.

Well RelationshipsCouples Therapy

You’re having the money fight again. One of you pushes for a conversation; the other shuts down. Or nothing dramatic happened, but you’ve started feeling more like housemates than partners. We work with communication, attachment, betrayal, parenting stress, and differences in how partners process the world. Choose ongoing sessions, discernment work when you’re unsure about staying together, or a three-day intensive in Palo Alto. The work is about understanding the cycle and finding a way forward you can both participate in.

Well at WorkResilience Training

Being good under pressure doesn’t make you immune to it. Leaders 360 grew from our work with military Special Ops communities and now supports leaders and people in demanding roles. This is resilience and mental performance training: practical work on judgment, emotional steadiness, and the relationships that can get squeezed out when you’re always on. The goal is to help you function under pressure and have something left for life outside it.

Well PastEMDR for Trauma

You may know exactly why something affects you and still find yourself freezing, shutting down, or bracing for the worst. EMDR gives us another way to work with distressing memories and the reactions attached to them. Our clinicians draw on somatic and relational approaches alongside EMDR, with attention to preparation and pacing. You don’t have to dismiss what happened just because you’ve managed to keep functioning.

Well WithinKetamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

You’ve talked things through, but the grief, numbness, or old patterns still feel hard to reach. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy combines prescribed ketamine with therapeutic preparation, support, and integration. We help you explore what comes up and connect it to everyday life. If you’re curious, we’ll talk through the approach and the assessment process so you can understand whether it may be appropriate for your care.

Well UnderstoodADHD & Neurodivergence

Maybe everyday tasks take more out of you than people realize. You’re managing distractions, sensory overload, strong emotions, or years of trying to fit expectations that don’t fit you. Our clinicians support individuals navigating ADHD and neurodivergence, with space to understand how your mind works and what you need. Together, we’ll explore practical ways to approach routines, boundaries, work, and relationships without asking you to be someone else.

We Bring the Whole
Picture Into the Room

You bring your own history, relationships, and ways of making sense of the world. Our clinicians take time to understand all of it: what’s happening now, what keeps repeating, and what you want to feel different. There’s room here for the hard conversations, a little humor, and the parts of your story that don’t fit neatly into a box.

Founded by Mabel Yiu, LMFT, Ed.D, Well Together grew from Women’s Therapy Institute and years of work with military personnel. Those experiences shaped how we think about care: a person’s wellbeing is connected to the relationships and systems around them. That perspective guides our work with individuals, couples, and people navigating pressure at work.

We bring different clinical backgrounds and a shared willingness to be warm, direct, and curious. We’ll look beneath the argument or the constant worry, help you understand the patterns, and work with you on practical changes. Our client care team can help you find a clinician whose experience and approach fit what you’re looking for.

Frequently Asked
Questions

A comfortable chair in a calm, sunlit room
Where Do Sessions Take Place?

Therapy is offered virtually throughout California. The three-day couples intensive takes place in person in the Palo Alto area.

What Happens During the Free Consult?

You’ll speak with our client care team about what’s bringing you in, ask questions about scheduling and fees, and talk through which clinician or service may fit. You don’t need a polished explanation. We’ll help you find a starting point and understand what happens next.

Do I Need to Know Which Service I Want?

No. You don’t need to arrive knowing the name of a therapy approach. Tell us what’s happening: the recurring argument, the constant worry, the feeling that something is off. We can help you sort through the options.

Do You Offer Couples Intensives?

Yes. Our practice offers an in-person, three-day couples intensive in the Palo Alto area, with five hours of focused work each day. It gives couples more uninterrupted time to work together. Ask about suitability, scheduling, and what preparation involves during your consultation.

Do You Support ADHD and Neurodivergence?

Yes. Our clinicians support individuals navigating ADHD and neurodivergence. That can include sensory overload, routines, emotional regulation, work, identity, and the strain of trying to meet expectations that don’t fit. Our client care team can help you connect with a clinician whose experience fits your needs.

What If My Partner Isn’t Ready for Therapy?

You can start on your own. Individual work can help you understand your reactions, boundaries, and choices within the relationship. It doesn’t require your partner to be ready, and it doesn’t mean you have to decide the future of the relationship right away.

Will Feeling Less Stressed Make Me Less Driven?

You can care about your work without living in a constant state of tension. We can help you explore the habits that keep you on alert and practice ways to handle pressure without using up everything you have.

Who Is Welcome Here?

We welcome individuals and couples of all genders, orientations, and relationship structures. Ask us about support for your particular needs.

Wellness Happens In Connections

Virtual therapy in California. Coaching available anywhere.

You are holding it together

and it’s costing you

On the outside, everything looks steady.

Inside, the constant worries, the quiet distance, or the pressure on yourself and your closest relationships tells another story.

You want to feel grounded again — to find a way that lets you rest, connect, and breathe.

What “wellness” can feel like.

The noise quiets. You start to recognize yourself again.

You sleep better. Your body isn’t always braced for impact.

Conversations with loved ones that used to spiral badly finally gets easier.

Your relationship becomes more harmonious.

Healing happens in connection…

With yourself, your loved ones, and the systems you’re part of.

We work with people who are done trying to “power through” their pain and are ready to understand what’s underneath:

From individuals who got lost in “successful on paper,” to those ready to reconnect with who they are and what matters now;

From parents who’ve lost themselves in caretaking, to couples who can’t find their way back to each other;

From Special Ops military learning how to be human again after years of hypervigilance, to start-up founders who can run a team of 150 but can’t remember the last time they felt joy.

No matter your background, gender, or relationship/family structure — you’re welcome here.

Wellness isn’t just about feeling better alone. It’s about rediscovering what it means to be well, together.

What We Do

  • Individual Work

One-on-one sessions focused on what you're carrying, how you got here, and what you want to change. You've been surviving for a long time. Now it's time to feel okay without disappearing or performing.

  • Couples Sessions

Weekly sessions, Discernment Counseling, or in-person 3-day intensives. For two people trying to find their way back, or find clarity on the next step. All orientations and neurotypes.

  • EMDR for Trauma

Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) clears the stuff that still owns you— toxic exes, narcissistic parents, or that one moment you can’t shake.

  • Ketamine (KAP)

Sometimes pain lives beyond words and thought. KAP combines prescribed ketamine with guided therapy to support neuroplasticity for deep healing, clarity, and lasting change.

  • Resiliency Training

Leaders 360 is our specialized resilience program designed for active military and high-stake leaders—adaptable for high-impact individuals and teams in any organizational setting.

What healing looks like:

→ Responding calmly instead of reacting from survival mode.

→ Setting healthy boundaries without burning bridges.

→ Talking about difficult topics—like money—without spiraling into fights.

→ Rebuilding trust and finding safety in closeness again.

→ Trusting your “no” without the guilt - and the “yes” without the fear.

→ Less panic, more present

→ Feeling like your partner hears you (finally)

→ Letting go of over-functioning and people-pleasing, and trusting you are still enough.

→ Having a brain that works for you, not against you.
